DESCRIPTION
Biological Activity: 5-CFDA-AM is a cell-permeable esterase substrate used as an activity probe to measure enzyme activity and membrane integrity. Being electrically neutral, it enters cells at lower concentrations and is hydrolyzed by intracellular esterases to produce carboxyfluorescein, which retains better inside cells. Ex/Em (nm)=485/515.
