DESCRIPTION
Biological Activity: 6-CFDA is a common aliphatic fluorescein derivative. CFDA freely diffuses into cells and is hydrolyzed by intracellular nonspecific esterases to form carboxyfluorescein (CF), which has additional negative charges compared to fluorescein dyes, allowing better cellular retention. Ex/Em (nm)=492/517.
