BODIPY 493/503 NHS ester is the most common reagent for conjugating this dye to proteins or antibodies. The NHS ester labels primary amines (R-NH2) on proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides, and other amine-containing molecules. The resulting BODIPY 493/503 conjugates exhibit bright fluorescence, narrow emission bandwidth, and relatively long excited-state lifetime, making them suitable for fluorescence polarization assays and two-photon excitation (TPE) microscopy. Excitation/Emission (nm) = 496/508.
