Biological Activity: BODIPY 581/591 C11 is an oxidation-sensitive fluorescent fatty acid analog. It initially emits red fluorescence; upon incorporation into lipids and subsequent peroxidation, its emission shifts to green. It is commonly used to study lipid peroxidation and antioxidant capacity in live cells, particularly in ferroptosis research and fluorescence imaging. Excitation/Emission (nm) = 581/591.
