DESCRIPTION
BODIPY 581/591 maleimide is a linker derivative of the BODIPY 581/591 dye. It has a long fluorescence lifetime, making it suitable for fluorescence polarization assays. At pH 6.5–7.5, the maleimide group reacts with thiol groups to form thioether bonds, enabling labeling of proteins and peptides. Excitation/Emission (nm) = 581/591.
