Biological Activity: BODIPY TR-X, SE exhibits high fluorescence quantum yield and high extinction coefficient, and is relatively insensitive to pH changes. Its strong hydrophobicity makes it ideal for labeling lipids and cell membranes. It can label primary amines (R-NH2) on proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides, and other amine-containing molecules. When conjugated to proteins or antibodies, it emits bright red fluorescence.
