DESCRIPTION
Pyrromethene 597 is an optical chemical used in spectroscopic sample preparation. It serves as a general-purpose laser dye activatable by various wavelengths (e.g., cavity radiation or light emission). Upon excitation, it fluoresces and is used to prepare fluorescent conjugates of proteins, nucleotides, oligonucleotides, dextran, as well as fluorescent enzyme substrates, fatty acids, phospholipids, lipopolysaccharides, receptor ligands, and polystyrene microspheres. It offers a broad laser tuning range and high photostability, and can also function as a thermal probe. Excitation/Emission (nm) = 527/557.
