DESCRIPTION
Sulfo-Cy3 is a traditional orange fluorescent label for proteins and nucleic acids. Its labeling reaction does not require organic co-solvents, making it ideal for labeling biomolecules sensitive to organic solvents, such as proteins. Additionally, the charged nature of the dye prevents hydrophobic aggregation when conjugated to protein surfaces, enhancing the stability of the labeled product. Ex/Em(nm)=554/568.
