DESCRIPTION
Cy5 is a reactive dye primarily used to label amino groups in peptides, proteins, and oligonucleotides. The labeling reaction requires a small amount of organic co-solvent (e.g., DMF or DMSO). It is cost-effective for labeling soluble proteins, peptides, and oligonucleotides, and is also suitable for labeling small molecules in organic solvents. Widely used in biomolecular labeling, fluorescence imaging, and other fluorescent bioassays. Ex/Em(nm)=633/670.
