DESCRIPTION
Sulfo-Cy5.5 is widely used for labeling biomolecules such as peptides, proteins, and oligonucleotides. In biomedical research, it is especially suitable for small animal in vivo imaging because its emission spectrum (>700 nm) lies at the red/near-infrared boundary where biological tissues exhibit minimal autofluorescence, making it ideal for experiments sensitive to background fluorescence.
