Cyanine3 Hydrazide is a carbonyl-reactive fluorescent probe designed for selective conjugation to aldehyde or ketone groups via hydrazone bond formation. This non-sulfonated reagent is particularly valuable for labeling glycoproteins, glycans, and other carbonyl-containing biomolecules through mild, catalyst-free reactions (pH 5-7, 2-4 hours at 25°C).
Key Characteristics:
• Specific Reactivity: Targets oxidized sugars (periodate-generated aldehydes) and keto moieties
• Stable Conjugates: Hydrazone bonds can be further stabilized by NaCNBH₃ reduction
• Applications: Glycobiology studies, antibody-oligosaccharide labeling, and microarray fabrication
