DESCRIPTION
Biological Activity: MitoTracker Red CM-H2Xros is a reduced, non-fluorescent red dye that passively diffuses across the plasma membrane. Once inside live cells, it is oxidized to a fluorescent, mitochondria-selective probe that accumulates in active mitochondria. The staining is compatible with subsequent fixation (e.g., with formaldehyde) and permeabilization (e.g., with Triton X-100), with the probe retained intracellularly.
