DESCRIPTION
Cyanine5 Azide is a click chemistry reagent (ex/em 649/670 nm) for copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC). This non-sulfonated dye enables bioorthogonal conjugation to terminal alkynes under mild conditions while maintaining Cy5’s near-infrared fluorescence. Exhibits excellent solubility in organic solvents (e.g., DMSO, DMF) and limited aqueous compatibility.
For water-soluble applications, use sulfo-Cyanine5 Azide. Store desiccated at -20°C under inert atmosphere.
