DESCRIPTION
Cyanine5.5 Maleimide is a thiol-reactive near-infrared dye (ex/em 675/694 nm) for covalent cysteine conjugation. This non-sulfonated reagent forms stable thioether bonds with sulfhydryl groups (pH 6.5–7.5), enabling site-specific labeling of proteins, peptides, and thiolated biomolecules. Exhibits excellent solubility in anhydrous DMSO (>10 mM) and minimal non-specific binding for high-contrast imaging.
For aqueous applications, use sulfo-Cyanine5.5 Maleimide. Store under argon at -80°C protected from light.
